Researchers at the Queensland University of Technology are seeking participants in their study to ascertain the attitudes and perceptions of Australian and New Zealand paramedics regarding Mass Violence Paramedicine.
This survey targets the cohort of qualified and student paramedics from organisations that employ registered paramedics. By design it targets all levels of paramedics to ensure a significant cross section of paramedics across Australia and New Zealand. This survey will aid the researcher in establishing the organisational (ambulance services or companies) attitudes to this operational environment.
This research endeavour aims to expand on the multifaceted dimensions that encompass the attitudes and perceptions of paramedics in the context of mass violence incidents. By conducting analysis of the viewpoints held by paramedics, this study seeks to contribute valuable insights to the evolving landscape of paramedic practice, particularly in situations involving mass violence.
The utilisation of a comparative approach, encompassing both Australian and New Zealand paramedic perspectives, will further enhance the robustness and comprehensiveness of the study's findings. This observational survey will not only provide a nuanced understanding of the similarities and divergences in attitudes and perceptions between ambulance services but will also foster an enriched comprehension of the broader implications for paramedic training, preparedness, and response strategies. Your expertise and insights would undoubtedly enrich the academic discourse surrounding this compelling subject matter.
