St John Ambulance Australia (NT) Inc. (St John NT) is the Territory’s leading provider in emergency medical response and preparedness. We have a mission to save lives and build community resilience to improve the safety and healthcare for all Territorians. We do this by providing a range of services from ambulance services under contract to the Northern Territory Government, coordination of emergency medical responses, event health services and first aid assistance at community and major events through to nationally accredited first aid training, community education and first aid products and equipment.

We are seeking a motivated full-time Clinical Services Officer (CSO) to support the ongoing work and expansion of Clinical Services within St John NT. This position will focus on the education and learning needs of our Paramedics and Patient Transport Officers.

The Role

Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager the successful candidate will be expected, amongst other responsibilities, to:

· Develop and deliver approved training and continuing education programs, induction programs, and professional staff development programs utilising traditional and eLearning materials.

· Assist and coordinate the credentialing process across the St John NT network.

· Assist and coordinate with the management of Graduate Intern and Intensive Care Paramedic Intern Programs within St John NT.

· Assist in the coordination and implementation of process improvements that will support the reduction of health care errors and other adverse patient outcomes.

· Promote a learning culture and the development of systems to support ongoing clinical growth and improvement with all staff.

The Person

To be successful in this role the candidate is expected to be a critically thinking professional who is solutions-focused, a self-motivated team player, and have the ability to develop meaningful workplace relationships. The successful applicant will have:

· Bachelor of Paramedicine or equivalent from a CAA accredited university.

· Paramedic registration with AHPRA.

· Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.

· An understanding of the principles of clinical governance, patient safety and clinical quality improvement.

· An understanding of eLearning development and delivery, proficient in the Microsoft and Adobe Suite of programs, as well as the facilitation of blended-learning course delivery.
