St John Ambulance Australia (NT) Inc. is the Territory’s leading provider in emergency medical response and preparedness. We have a mission to save lives and build community resilience to improve the safety and healthcare for all Territorians. We do this by providing a range of services from ambulance services under contract to the Northern Territory Government, coordination of emergency medical responses, event health services and first aid assistance at community and major events through to nationally accredited first aid training, community education and first aid products and equipment.
We are looking for 2 x Intensive Care Paramedics for our Critical Response Unit (CRU) in Alice Springs. Our CRU is a multifaceted single response model, providing support to Ambulance operations through the provision of rapid and specialist assessment to high acuity cases, support to Paramedics and Patient Transport Officers, debrief and in-field case review, clinical audit in line with clinical governance and patient safety frameworks and education and development.
As a senior clinician in Alice Springs, you will provide clinical leadership to approximately 50 Paramedics and Patient Transport Officers and St John NT Volunteers to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care to the community of Central Australia.

Our ideal candidate must have:
• A current Authority to Practice as an Intensive Care Paramedic from a CAA approved Ambulance service.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Intensive Care Paramedic.
• AHPRA registration (or ability to obtain).
• Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership through mentoring and support.
• Well-developed problem solving, analytical and decision making skills.
• A high level of oral and written communication skills to ensure effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
