Job Opportunity: Paramedic - Emergency Communication Centre - St John NT

We are looking for a Clinical Deployment Supervisor (CDS) who is a strong leader, to support ambulance operations within our Emergency Communications Centre (ECC) in Darwin. Situated within the Joint Emergency Communications Centre (JESCC) in Berrimah, the successful applicant will work collaboratively with the Communications Supervisor (CSV) and Frontline Leadership Group (FLG), and the Northern Territory Police, Fire and Emergency Services (NTPFES), to ensure timely and appropriate emergency responses occur across the unique and vast Territory landscape.

Playing an integral role within the St John NT Emergency Communications Centre (ECC), the Clinical Deployment Supervisor (CDS) will be an experienced clinician, providing both leadership and clinical direction, support, and advice to ensure the right resources are sent to the right patient at the right time.

The Person:

The successful applicant will have:

  • A current Authority to Practice as a Qualified or Intensive Care Paramedic, with a minimum 3 years on road experience with a State or Territory emergency ambulance service.
  • AHPRA registration as a Paramedic.
  • AIIMS/MIMMS Commander Qualification (desirable).
  • Certificate IV in Leadership (desirable).
  • Demonstrated supervisory/leadership skills, including but not limited to staff support, staff development and conflict management.
  • Demonstrated strong computer literacy, database and software experience.
  • Proven ability to communicate verbally and in writing, professionally and accurately to a high level.
  • Well-developed problem solving, analytical and decision making skills.
  • The ability to handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Experience working in and/or knowledge of rural and remote areas of the Northern Territory (desirable)
