The aim of the Emergency Communications Centre is to ensure timely and appropriate emergency responses occur across the unique and vast Territory landscape.

We are looking for a keen Paramedic to undertake the responsibilities of a Clinical Deployment Supervisor demonstrating strong clinical competency and leadership, to support ambulance operations within the Emergency Communications Centre in Darwin.

Situated within the Joint Emergency Services Communications Centre the successful applicant will work closely and collaboratively with Emergency Medical Dispatchers, Ambulance Leadership Groups, Northern Territory Police, Fire and Emergency Services, and Territory wide aeromedical providers to ensure the right resources are sent to the right patient at the right time.

The Person:

  • The successful applicant will have:
  • A current Authority to Practice as a Qualified or Intensive Care Paramedic, with a minimum 3 years on road experience with a State or Territory emergency ambulance service.
  • AHPRA registration as a Paramedic.
  • AIIMS/MIMMS Commander Qualification (desirable).
  • Certificate IV in Leadership (desirable).
  • Demonstrated supervisory/leadership skills, including but not limited to staff support, staff development and conflict management.
  • Demonstrated strong computer literacy skills,
  • Proven ability to communicate verbally and in writing, professionally and accurately to a high level.
  • Well-developed problem solving, analytical and decision making skills.
  • The ability to handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Experience working in and/or knowledge of rural and remote health
