PHC Alliance Statement: Scope of Practice Review Recommendations
The final report of the Unleashing the Potential of our Health Workforce: Scope of Practice Review was published by the Australian Federal Government in October 2024.
The report made 18 recommendations for reform to expand the capacity of the primary care workforce to deliver high-quality health care to Australians.
The Primary Health Care Alliance (PHC Alliance) surveyed the primary health care sector to gather its views on the recommendations. The aim was to provide strategic advice to the government and guide the implementation of the scope of practice reforms.
