Researchers at Charles Sturt University are investigating the relationship between self-compassion and PTSD symptoms in paramedics.
We know from other populations that self-compassion is protective against PTSD symptoms, however we do not yet know if this is true among paramedics. The findings of this study may open new avenues of research and may lead to targeted treatment or prevention strategies for PTSD in paramedics.
All paramedics (past or present) with more than 12 months of experience working in an emergency ambulance service within Australia, New Zealand or the United Kingdom are invited to take part in the survey.
The survey will be anonymous, will not ask you to recall or recount any past experiences, and should take approximately 10 minutes for the majority of participants.
If you are interested in completing the survey, the Participant Information Sheet can be accessed here or via the QR code below.

The researchers hope to recruit a large sample, so please share this invitation widely among any paramedic networks.
