If you are currently completing a Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedicine) degree or diploma, or have recently graduated from a recognised NZ or Australia tertiary provider, this is your opportunity to take the first step in your career!

The Tertiary Employment Pathway is designed for students eager to enter the workforce and apply their studies in a real world setting. This role is to join Hato Hone St John as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) through a structured programme, it does not offer a pathway to Paramedic Authority to Practice.

The next intake will begin on May 19th, 2025, in Auckland. You will be fully supported through a comprehensive onboarding process, including a two-week induction, AORM, clinical support days, and a two-day local induction, ensuring you have the skills and confidence to succeed.

Qualifications

Ko wai koe - About you:

• Have completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedicine) degree or diploma from an approved New Zealand or Australian Tertiary Provider within two years or
• Successfully completed semester 3 of study at AUT or Te Pukenga Whitireia or.
• Successfully completed semester 4 of study at Griffith University or Charles Sturt University.
• Full NZ driving licence and either have held it for at least one year OR have a full licence and have completed an NZTA approved advanced driving course OR hold an Australian full licence.
• A current CV and cover letter.
• A copy of your academic transcript in your application. If you are unable to obtain a copy of your transcript, a screenshot of your grades is acceptable.
