Job opportunity: Paramedics - Multiple Roles Greater Wellington and Wairarapa region - Wellington Free Ambulance


Wellington Free Ambulance are seeking qualified Paramedics (multiple roles) for the Greater Wellington and Wairarapa region who have previously worked as a Paramedic with an Authority to Practice – whatever experience you have they will welcome your application.

What this means for you?

This allows people with job offers to apply under the fast-track Straight to Residence category which can allow applicants to enter New Zealand with residence from the outset. The changes for Healthcare workers will come into effect on 29th of May and Straight To Residence applications for these occupations can be submitted from this date.

  • The service operations cover 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As a paramedic the normal rostered cycle is four consecutive shifts on (two-day shifts, followed by two night shifts), followed by four consecutive shifts off. This means you are rostered to work an average of 42 hours per seven days, or 48 hours per eight days.
