Research Opportunity: The experiences of workplace paramedics' interactions with state-employed paramedics

Researchers from Charles Sturt University are seeking for particpants for a research projfect investigating The experiences of workplace paramedics’ interactions with state-employed paramedics.

A workplace paramedic is defined as a paramedic who is not employed by a jurisdictional ambulance service (State based ambulance service). Workplace paramedics constitute almost one-fifth of registered paramedics in Australia; however, current literature fails to adequately address paramedicine in non-traditional settings. Thus, this project aims to build an understanding of how workplace paramedics located in industrial and mining settings construct meaning around their interactions with state-employed paramedics.

Charles Sturt University are seeking workplace paramedics who:

• Have handed over to a state-employed paramedic as a workplace paramedic

• Have no experience working for a state-based ambulance service

The initial stage of this research project involves a short 22-question demographic survey which will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
