College recruitment: Policy Project Officer


The College is recruiting for a Policy Project Officer to work cooperatively with our Advocacy and Government Relations Manager to deliver the key policy and advocacy outcomes of the College.

The Policy Project Officer plays a key role in researching and drafting policy and advocacy positions, engaging with internal stakeholders and member committees, as well as managing policy and advocacy projects to ensure timely delivery.

The role will research, contribute, develop, and coordinate responses to policy issues, and advance the cause of paramedicine in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

Selection Criteria:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in government relations, health policy, advocacy, public affairs, or political advisory

• Relevant tertiary degree qualification in public policy, government relations, health policy or a related discipline

• Demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality written materials, including reports, briefing papers, policy documents and submissions

• Ability to research, analyse data and propose actions on identified health policy areas

• High-level verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
